Because we begin with the actual attack, our defenses are realistic. We do not look for answers from an ancient syllabus. Everything we do is based on modern day real life and statistics – not on something that was relevant over 50 years ago. We recognize that the world has changed.
In our training we focus on attacks and the attacker. How is he/she likely to behave? What does the attacker want to achieve? Where will he/she strike and how? Then, we will look at a suitable defense. In our opinion, this is the only way to find a realistic defense. We have implemented this approach because we have so much experience working on the street.
We want you to be ready to fight when you walk out of the class. It is for this reason we keep our training, too, as realistic as possible. The only way to do that is train actual fights – make contact, get hit and work under pressure, light and hard. We strongly support sparing. This way, you will also learn where your limits lie, how to control your powers and while at it, get stronger. Our approach minimizes training injuries because you’ll learn to know when and where to stop
